Lazy Cocoa Berry Sorbet
Before we do that, however, Ben and I had to take care of a couple major purchases: a washer and dryer. We were constrained by size, dimensions, and they had to be stackable. My god, does it ever add up when you go to foot the bill for a washer and dryer! We coughed at the dotted line, pondered about the extended guarantee, and then squeezed our eyes shut as we signed away a good chunk of hard-earned cash.
Afterwards, we had to ease any post-purchase-hesitations with a bowl of something sweet and creamy. I suggested sorbet, and so we set out to make a super lazy version with frozen berries, cocoa powder, and a touch of honey.
Delicious! I think the sweet, tangy, coolness of this sorbet will numb our insides enough to swallow that hefty washer and dryer bill! 😉
Chocolate Berry Sorbet
Ingredients:
- 3 cups frozen mixed berries (of your choice)
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 4 tbsp honey, or to taste
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
Directions:
- Toss all the ingredients into a food processor. Mix on high for about 5 minutes or until it is all creamy-like.
- Pour into a tupperware and freeze for at least an hour before serving. Serves 4-6.
If the sorbet comes out of the freezer too hard to scoop, simply leave it on the counter for ten minutes. It should soften right up!
